American Protestantism is facing a perfect storm.

Growing insecurity about the place of the church in a secularized, Western society, ongoing internal conflicts and debates, and a heritage of individualism and voluntarism are tearing the fabric of denominations and local congregations. Rather than offering a quick fix, this course seeks to help pastors to imagine new possibilities for the life of the church in this context.

Edwin van Driel, Directors' Bicentennial Associate Professor of Theology at PTS, will lead this class. Students will be able to participate at their convenience over the span of this asynchronous offering.

Dates:

Jan. 19 - Feb. 13, 2015

Fee:

$85
