A Word from the Director
Dear Friends,
I am excited to offer another selection of valuable courses that should stimulate your thinking and enrich your spirit. Whether you are a pastor or a layperson, there are a number of offerings here for you.
May I ask a favor? You undoubtedly know a number of people – working on a committee with you, sitting in the pew next to you, or living in your own home – who would benefit from some of the courses in this calendar. As you peruse the titles here, please take a few moments to think of those folks. Then encourage them to consider attending. You won’t just be helping increase our attendance…you’ll also be doing them a favor!
Let me mention two specific items related to Continuing Education for the 2012-13 academic year:
- First, most of our Lectureships and a few lecture-style classes are now available on YouTube. Posting our videos there gives us a broader presence in the digital world and allows those who couldn’t attend the lectures a chance to see what they missed. Look for us at www.youtube.com/pghseminary.
- Second, in the winter, we will begin sending a regular email communication from Continuing Education to publicize upcoming courses. We want to make that communication interactive too, but we are only now beginning to think about ways to make that happen. If you have ideas, please let me know. You can also sign up to receive our electronic news: www.pts.edu/email.
I hope to see you a few times, at least, this coming year. Don't forget to put dates on your calendar now for the events that you would like to attend.
Blessings,
James E. Davison, Director of Continuing Education
