STEP 6 Future Applications

Students must apply for financial aid each academic year.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA

In December, the Department of Education will e-mail a reminder to applicants who previously filed the FAFSA on-line to complete the new FAFSA Renewal On-line. Applicants who filed by paper will receive a FAFSA on the Web Worksheet by mail. Visit www.pin.ed.gov or call 1-800-801-0576 if you cannot locate your PIN number. A FAFSA must be completed each year with the previous year's financial and personal data.

Applying for a New Loan

Students do not have to file a new Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note or Federal Entrance Counseling Session but must submit a signed Direct Loan Request Form to the Financial Aid Office each year. Loan processing will begin in June for the new academic year and continue throughout the academic year. No loans are available during the summer months.

PTS Grants and Scholarships

Students must apply for institutional grants each year by submitting the FAFSA, Masters:PTS Application, DMIN; PTS Application and supporting documentation. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. Grants will be awarded until the funds are exhausted. It is recommended that Master-degree seeking students file all paperwork before April 1st.

Merit Scholarships are awarded to incoming students. Funds are automatically renewed if students meet the requirements; complete 36 credits and maintain a 3.5 career GPA.
